Ocean Song Zeri from LoL

As a professional artist I have to find ways to wind down at the end of the day that isn't related to art. One of the ways I do this is playing games and I really enjoy League of legends.

Zeri is a more recent character and her release instantly stole my heart. She became a favourite right away, I enjoy playing her and on top of that she has a beautiful design. When the Ocean Song skinline was released the colours of her new look blew me away. With her ocean blue hair and coat that resembles a sandy beach instantly made me want to draw her in this fun new look!

I have been using characters from League as a way to push my art and work in a style that differs from my regular very cartoony look. It's a great outlet for me to test out new shading and details. In this piece specifically I played around with light colours in her linework and even broke my linework to get her coat to have a water effect. At the final stages I felt the piece needed more of a push so I added in some blur to add a camera-like look. I feel like I was very successful in this piece and it continues to be a favourite of mine to this day.
